Myopia Management is an eye therapy that uses various techniques to reduce myopia and protect ocular health by slowing the damaging effects of progressive nearsightedness.
High amounts of nearsightedness are associated with cataracts, glaucoma, maculopathy and retinal detachment.

MiSight Myopia Program
Gwynedd Valley Eye Care is a certified eye doctor for the MiSight Myopia Program. MiSight is an FDA approved soft contact lens therapy that was developed to manage myopia in children ages 8-12 as they grow. This treatment program slows the progression of myopia during these crucial ages.
Orthokeratology
The CRT or Ortho-K program utilizes hard contact lenses that are designed to reshape the cornea as you sleep. This allows for clear vision without the use of glasses or contact lenses during the day.
